When it comes to relationship breakdowns within the royal family, Her Majesty is well and truly fed up.
So much so that before Prince William married Kate Middleton, the Queen gave her grandson a stern talking to.
According to report published in the Sunday Express back in 2006, the monarch told William to choose his wife wisely. After all, she’d already witnessed the divorces of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson as well as Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips.
“The Queen is head of the Church and so from a point of principle she is opposed to royal divorces,” a Palace aid revealed.
“However she witnessed the divorces not just of her sister Princess Margaret, but also those of her three eldest children.

“Now she feels, to put it bluntly, that enough is enough. She does not want to name names, but she is adamant that there are going to be no further royal divorces during her reign.”
The royal insider added: “The concept of divorce goes against the Queen’s whole upbringing, which is about duty and about soldiering on in the face of adversity.
“Both Princes William and Harry have been in no doubt that when they marry, it’s for keeps.”
