But, reports have been emerging that Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas, might not be present at her wedding to Prince Harry.

The couple are set to tie the knot on May 19 at St Georges Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle in the UK.

However, Thomas has struggled with the limelight surrounding Meghan’s royal romance and the former actress is reportedly concerned about her father attending.

‘She’s also worried about how he would handle it as he’s become even more of a recluse,’ a second source told the Daily Star.

‘Not to mention the fact that there has been some bad blood between Harry and Thomas after Harry made comments about her finally getting the family she never had.’

However, Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha has revealed that nothing could stop Thomas from being there for his daughter.

‘God forbid, unless a plane crashes through his roof, he’ll be there one way or the other,’ she revealed during a television interview with Matthew Wright.

There is speculation that Prince William will walk Meghan down the aisle.

There has also been speculation that her soon-to-be brother in law, Prince William could be walking her down the aisle, if her father is unable to.

But, while Meghan adores her new brother in law, she would prefer to have her mum, Doria Ragland, walk her down the aisle, but the Royal Family are reluctant to break with tradition.

‘The royals understand why Meghan might prefer to have her mother, but it’s not exactly traditional to have a woman walk a bride down the aisle,’ a source told the Daily Star.

‘Some of the royals aren’t happy about the idea, so they suggested that William do it. He is the natural choice.’
