Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal baby won’t automatically be given the title of prince or princess.
Only the grandchildren of a monarch or those in direct line to the throne can be dubbed a prince or princess. This is because King George V limited titles within the royal family back in 1917.
What this means when it comes to titles is Harry and Meghan’s first born child, as a great-grandchild of the Queen, is way too far down the line of succession to be an HRH.
So will Baby Sussex be a HRH? This move will be dictated entirely by The Queen.

Her Majesty has made all of William and Kate’s kids HRH prince or princess, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
