After being serenaded with beautifully-sung Christmas carols, the Queen and the little girl got together to both add a decoration to a large tree outside the children’s centre.

But while the 92-year-old monarch got hers on with little trouble, Shylah’s decoration got stuck – causing the Queen to lend a gloved hand.

Along with her trademark gloves, the Queen was dressed in a jade green coat by Stewart Parvin and matching Rachel Trevor-Morgan hat, with a dress in floral silk in the shades of jade, mint, lavender and magenta.

A diamond lily brooch finished the outfit.

Shylah’s mother Evie Clarke is part of Coram’s Young Parenthood Programme.

One decoration was a copy of Thomas Coram’s coat and the other a red ribbon, representing the charity’s museum.
