In an interview conducted back in 2010, Prince Andrew says he will never re-marry the mother of his two children again.
“No,” he told the Daily Mail when asked the question.
“We are both in a better place. It’s because we are in a better place which is probably why we are able to remain such close friends.”
He continued: “We have two great kids. We do things together as a family.”
Over the weekend, Sarah Ferguson was photographed accompanied by a mystery companion at a high-society party in Italy.
She was dressed in a flapper frock for the 1920s-themed 60th birthday party of Canadian billionaire and socialite Lawrence Stroll.
Also attending were Hollywood power couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Whether Sarah’s mystery man was a date or just a friend remains unknown, but the outing follows her confession that she and ex-husband Prince Andrew are ‘bigger than friends’.
‘We work in unity and Andrew and I are focused on being good parents together. We are bigger than friends,’ she told HELLO! magazine. ‘We learn from each other, support each other and understand it’s about communication, compromise and compassion.’
The comments comes after Sarah was seen mingling with other members of the royal family – including Kate Middleton and Prince William – at Royal Ascot last week, as well as their affectionate display at the royal wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor in May.
