Kate Middleton, 36, wowed crowds when she stepped out in a stunning bespoke Alexander McQueen burgundy dress.
Yet onlookers couldn’t help but notice the duchess even more, when she suffered a Marilyn Monroe moment as the wind whipped her dress up.
Not that the mother-of-three didn’t take it in bad humour, Kate was left in giggles as she pushed her dress down to avoid an embarrassing fashion faux pas.
Yet, despite being surrounded by royals including the Queen, Prince Phillip and Prince William, no one appeared to notice except the Countess of Wessex who pulled a cheeky expression while Kate battled the elements.

Prince Harry appeared to be chuckling at something in the background, but his head was bowed down so whether or not he noticed Kate’s little frisson with her frock is yet to be uncovered.
Kate was tipped by fashion experts to be one of the winning looks for the day with fashion expert Danny Galella telling New Idea, “Wow! Kate takes my breath away. We don’t often see her on that colour and she looks divine,” he gasped.

“That hat is spectacular, Lovely dress and perfectly matched clutch. Probably one of my best dressed at the wedding and one of her best looks ever. Bravo Kate!”
So despite the wind making its cheeky entrance, Kate’s look was still the winner of the day!
