Whilst Harry and George have been photographed together in family shots, you may have noticed that these two princes have never featured in a photo together – just the two of them.

According to royal experts, the reasoning behind this lack of Kodak moments between uncle and nephew is far simpler than we could have guessed.

According to royal writers Kaitlin Menza and Lisa Ryan, the duo behind the “Royally Obsessed” podcast, it all had to do with preserving harry’s ‘happily single’ image prior to his marriage with Meghan Markle.

“We’ve never once seen Prince Harry interacting with Prince George,” the podcasters noted, “they’ve never been photographed together.”

Ryan clarified as to why this was the case: “[This] is not because of tension with a five-year-old, I think it was on purpose because Harry was single and they didn’t want him like ‘poor old spinster Harry playing with a baby on the grass’.”

As we know there have been photos of the two together, but they have always been alongside other members of the royal family.

In November, Harry and George joined Meghan, Kate, William, Charles, Camilla, Charlotte and Louis as Clarence House celebrated the Prince of Wales turning 70.
