The Queen goes solo in magenta for final service of 2018

Without Prince Philip

Her Majesty the Queen wowed in a bright magenta coat as she stepped out for her final church service of 2018.

Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, Lady Louise and Prince Edward were also in attendance at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk, for the occasion.

The Queen attended the church service at Sandringham before new year celebrations begin around the world.

Although Prince Philip was not present, she was joined by Prince Edward and other members of the royal family at St Mary Magdalene Church.

2019 looks set to be another busy year for the 92-year-old monarch.

Big on the royal front in 2019 will be the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby.

“Our little bump”, as Harry as dubbed his first-born, will be putting in an appearance in the spring, and is believed to be due in April.

Seventh in line to the throne, and the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s eighth great-grandchild, baby Sussex is joining a large brood of next-generation royals including his or her cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
