Wedding preparations are in full swing ahead of the upcoming royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19th, 2018. More than 24 million people around the globe tuned in to watch Prince William and Kate’s wedding in 2011 and it is expected that Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding will draw bigger crowds – no pressure!
Meghan previously shared her favourite celebrity wedding dress of all time was the minimalist style Carolyn Bessette wore when she tied the knot with John F. Kennedy Jr. But unfortunately for the happy couple it doesn’t all seem to be going so smoothly with government officials urging him to not invite the Obamas to his wedding.
According to The Sun the claims come after the couple told aids they were inviting the former US president and Michelle Obama. Harry and Obama became close during this year’s Invictus Games in Toronto.
Barack and Michelle Obama were among the first to tweet their well-wishes for the new couple.
Donald Trump doesn’t hide his distaste for the former US president, with Britain’s relations with the White House already on rocky ground.
A senior government source told The Sun: “Harry has made it clear he wants the Obamas at the wedding, so it’s causing a lot of nervousness. Trump could react very badly if the Obamas get to a Royal wedding before he has had a chance to meet the Queen.”
