The Prince of Wales has made a rare comment to mark his and the Duchess of Cornwall’s 14 year wedding anniversary while attending a royal engagement together.
While visiting Belfast for the re-opening of Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, Prince Charles took the opportunity to acknowledge the couples very special day.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m enormously grateful to you all for coming such a long way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It’s incredibly good of you,” the 70-year-old told guests at the official residence of the royal family in Northern Ireland.

He went on to say of the castle’s recent renovations: “There has been, as you can imagine, a long journey to get to this point, but I could not be more pleased that we have finally reached the finishing line!”
Charles and Camilla wed on April 9 in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall. They then made their way to Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel for a religious blessing.
