Sarah Ferguson wore her heart on her sleeve, or more accurately, her shoes, when the former royal attended a star-studded event for the British Heart Foundation.
Sporting heart symbols on her shoes, as well as a bright red headband, the Duchess, 59, wore a floor length black dress to the event, at the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London.

The event was to honour those who devote ‘much of their time and energy to help beat heart and circulatory disease’ – and charity devotee Fergie was thrilled to lend her support.
It’s been exciting few weeks for the onetime disgraced exile from the royal family. Last week she expressed her pride after her daughter Princess Beatrice delivered a public speech at the Woman for Leadership Conference in New York.
The Duchess of York shared a photo of the 31-year-old on Instagram, writing “So proud of Beatrice and her public speaking.”

Princess Beatrice – the eldest daughter of Fergie and Prince Andrew – has faced a public battle with dyslexia after admitting she was diagnosed with the condition at age seven.
Princess Beatrice has worked with Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre in the past and became a patron of the charity in 2013.
Fergie has enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance in the royal family of late, as she stands by her scandal-stained ex Prince Andrew, and she has even been invited to Balmoral. But that doesn’t extend to being under the same roof of Prince Philip, who is still said to despise her.
According to Express, the Duke of Edinburgh doesn’t speak to Sarah. The feud dates back to 1992, when Fergie was separated from the Duke of York and was pursuing a relationship with her financial adviser, John Bryan.

People reported that following her separation from Andrew, Fergie “packed their bags for a 36-day tour of Thailand and Indonesia, a five-day jaunt to Argentina, a spree in Paris and a journey to Scotland.”
Despite being joined by her daughters who were aged four and two, she was also accompanied by her then-lover John Bryan. During the famous trip, Fergie was scandalously photographed topless in the South of France whilst Bryan sucked her toes.
In other photos, the couple appeared to be kissing while her daughter, Princess Eugenie, looked on.
When the photos surfaced a few days later, the Duchess of York was with the Royal Family at Balmoral in Scotland – essentially the lion’s den.
Royal correspondent James Whitaker told Express that “It happened in front of the whole family at the Queen’s country residence in Scotland.”
“She was late into breakfast and everybody had got a copy of the Daily Mirror.
“As she walked into the room, they all stuffed it under their Times and Telegraphs and that sort of thing.
“She knew the game was up the second she walked into the room.”
While she has been battling to rescue her reputation ever since, it seems Sarah has never given up. And her charities, at least, are grateful for that.
