He has known the Royal family for years. And now it seems Elton John will have a very important role to play in the life of baby Sussex.
Having played at Diana’s funeral and their wedding reception last year, Prince Harry and Meghan have reportedly asked the singing legend to teach their little one how to play the piano when the little one is old enough.
“Meghan and Harry adore Elton and loved him singing at their wedding,” a source told The Sun.
“Meghan has been saying he’s the perfect person to teach their child the piano.”
And apparently, Elton is more than happy to do it.
“He’d love to,” the source adds.
“Music is hugely important to both Meghan and Elton, so who better?!”
In the months after Harry and Meghan’s wedding, Elton, 72, spoke publicly about the historic event.
“It was very, very wonderful to be there,” he told CNN said at the time.
“To have a black gospel choir, a multiracial bride, a black cellist, who was wonderful, a preacher – it felt like a party, and it felt like progress had been made. Thank god.”
