Revealed: The tiara Meghan Markle will wear on her wedding day

And it's touching tribute to Diana

While the world is eagerly anticipating what Meghan Markle’s wedding dress will look like, the big question is – which tiara will she wear?

As per royal tradition, the wedding day will be the first time Meghan will be permitted to sport a tiara and many royal experts are tipping she will wear the Cambridge Lover’s Knot.

‘This was a favorite of Princess Diana’s and was one of the most iconic pieces she wore, thus it would mean a great deal to the couple,’ says diamond expert Grant Mobley.

‘Surprisingly it’s not an original, instead, it’s a replica of an earlier tiara made for Queen Mary’s grandmother – Princess Augusta of Hesse, the Duchess of Cambridge.

The stunning piece was commissioned from the House of Garrard by Queen Mary in 1914. The original tiara was sold at auction at Christie’s in Geneva in 1981.’

Consisting of 100 carats of amazing white diamonds, the Lover’s Knot tiara has also been worn by three times by Kate Middleton in recent years, though the Duchess wore the Cartier Halo tiara when she wed Prince William in 2011.
