Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby boy Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be christened next month.
Despite the expectation that those important members of the royal family would be in attendance, it has now been revealed that Archie’s great-great-grandmother – Her Majesty the Queen – will not be able to witness the special occasion.
So what is the reason for the Queen of England’s absence?
Apparently there is a schedule clash, which seems a little harsh to us?
WATCH! We now know who will be crowned Archie’s godparents at his christening!
According to The Mirror, most of the senior members from the royal family will be at the christening of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bub, however, the publication reports that a scheduling clash means the monarch will be unable to attend.

This wouldn’t be the first time Queen Elizabeth II skipped a christening, Lizzie also didn’t attend the ceremony for Kate Middleton and Prince William’s third child, Prince Louis.
However, she did attend the christening of Zara and Mike Tindall’s daughter Lena earlier this year.
The publication also reports that the Duchess’s mum, Doria Ragland, will be flying to the UK from her home in California for the special day.
