Queen scolds Prince Philip: ‘So cruel!’

Queen Elizabeth once scolded her husband Prince Philip for being “cruel” as he played with a gun dog during training.

According to Express.co.uk, newly resurfaced footage reveals that the Queen, who has been married to Philip since November 1947, is so comfortable in her relationship she’s often silenced the Prince after being frustrated at something he’s doing.

Express.co.uk reports that in 1992 BBC documentary Elizabeth R, the couple are seen visiting the Sandringham Kennels where a group of gun dogs was being trained and Elizabeth can be heard comfortably telling her husband he was being “so cruel”.

In the footage, the Duke plays with the dog, who is being trained by its owner.

The Queen is then heard scolding Philip: “It’s his dog, you see.

“So cruel,” she said in the footage. 

The Queen’s gun dogs at Sandringham Kennels have been bred for hunting, and have earned respect as being some of the best in the world.

The Queen is an avid dog lover and has a natural affection for animals.

She has kept corgis as pets throughout her life, and has had a keen interest in horses from an early age. 

Her love of horses and horse racing takes her to Royal Ascot each year, where she spends time with other royal family members and fellow horse lovers over the five day event.
