There are many things Queen Elizabeth II has to endure – but sharing a toilet isn’t one of them.

The express.co.uk reports that assigning the Queen her own royal toilet is particularly important for all her engagements.
And further sources agree, with Daily Telegraph political editor Gordon Rayner, who embarked on several royal tours with the Queen, saying that arranging the toilets occupied her royal aide’s time more than “anything else”.

Writing in the Telegraph, he said the tours often seemed “ridiculous affairs”, mainly due to the reaction to the Queen’s presence.
He revealed officials would “tie themselves in knots” over some arrangements, especially where plumbing was concerned.
“Hosts spend more time worrying about the loo arrangements than anything else, down to what colour the towels should be and whether the loo roll is a suitable brand.”

In his article, Gordon Rayner also revealed there is a “retiring room” designated for the Queen and Prince Philip to use while on tour, which doubles as a panic room.
And while Palace aides ensure there is always a toilet for Her Majesty to use, it’s Queen Elizabeth who brings the paper, he said.
