Queen’s amazing gift to Princess Beatrice on her 30th birthday

What are grandmas for!

The Queen allowed royal outcast Fergie back into the fold as Princess Beatrice celebrated her 30th birthday at Balmoral.

Her Majesty was guest of honour as Bea invited her family and close friends to the Scottish castle last Wednesday.

Prince Philip – who can’t stand being in the same room as Prince Andrew’s ex-wife – was absent from the dinner party.

But around 20 other guests, including Bea’s sister Eugenie and her fiance Jack Brooksbank, feasted on salmon and a chocolate birthday cake made by royal chefs, washed down by champagne and fine wines.

The bash was low-key compared to Bea’s infamous 18th party at Windsor Castle in 2006 when 400 revellers, dressed for a Victoriantheme masked ball, got through $700,000 of booze and canapes.

A royal insider told The Sun: ‘Beatrice invited close friends as well and they stayed in lodges on the estate which are rented out to the public at other times of the year.’

‘It was a fantastic experience for Bea’s friends to sleep on the estate, but of course meeting the Queen was the icing on the cake.

‘It was a fantastic night and after the Queen had retired Bea and her friends were able to enjoy a few drinks into the early hours, but the most wonderful thing was the Queen was there.’
