Her beaming smile has delighted fans for years – but Princess Mary appeared sombre as she stepped out with husband Prince Frederik – as rumours of a royal split continued to swirl.
The Australian-born royal appeared stony-faced as she attended a museum exhibition alongside the Crown Prince on Nov. 24.
Mary dressed for the weather in a comfortable green cape-style top for the occasion – which she cinched in at the waist with a belt.
Her husband, meanwhile, also struggled to raise a smile – as he stood beside his wife in a silk scarf, which he teamed with a shirt and jacket.
Later the same evening the Prince and Princess attended The Crown Prince Couple Awards.
Mary changed outfits for the glamorous event – donning sparkly gold shoes – which she teamed with an all-white ensemble.
The royal couple’s appearance came as a Danish website published rumours of a split.
Mary’s usual smile was nowhere to be seen when she was photographed during a rare moment of solitude on Nov. 13, while attending the traditional Royal Hunt conducted by Queen Margrethe.
A body language expert even went as far as to say the troubled princess looked uninterested throughout the occasion.
