The Australian-born royal looked stunning in the dusky pink outfit.
Looking chic she paired her favourite Claes Iversen coat with a pillbox hat and shoes in the same shade.
Princess Mary curtsied as she greeted Queen Margrethe on the steps of parliament and the queen then affectionately kissed her daughter-in-law on the cheek while Prince Frederik look on.
Both royal women were given beautiful bouquets of bright seasonal blooms.
Queen Margrethe wore a purple gown and matching hat, and a grey shawl, while Prince Frederik donned a sharp navy suit with a light blue shirt and purple tie for the occasion.
