She’s the cheeky youngest daughter of Crown Princess Mary and Prince Frederik of Denmark – and now the Danish Palace has released a new photo of Princess Josephine.
The seven-year-old – who is the seventh grandchild of Queen Margrethe of Denmark – is known for her adorable antics during her attendance at royal engagements.

But on Nov. 13 Princess Josephine – who is the twin sister of Prince Vincent – cut quite the grown-up figure as a new image of her was released by the Palace on its Instagram page.
The photo showed Josephine wearing cream jodphurs while riding a black and white pony in the countryside.

The princess wasn’t smiling in the photo – but her blonde hair was tucked neatly beneath a sturdy riding helmet.
She also – sensibly – wore a body protector and sturdy boots – while her mount pricked his ears and looked eagerly at the camera.
The photo was captioned simply “Sunday Picnic” in Danish.

The young princess – who also has two other siblings, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella – has enjoyed horse riding for many years – and memorably stepped out wearing a blue cast after breaking her arm falling from her horse in 2015.
Despite the cast on her arm, the young royal smiled and waved to well-wishers before accepting bouquets at an equestrian parade.
