Meghan Markle was a surprising no-show at her close friend Misha Nonoo’s pop-up store in the Big Apple on Monday, but another notable royal made a shock appearance; Princess Eugenie.
The event was held in the hip New York suburb of SoHo and was attended by Hollywood’s A-list, including supermodel Karlie Kloss and her husband Josh Kushner, CBS News anchor Gayle King, and socialite Nicky Hilton.
Meghan and Misha have a close friendship, with the fashion designer often being named as the ‘anonymous friend’ who initially set up the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

What’s more, the friends worked together on a capsule collection for charity Smart Works, but despite the royal flying into New York to watch her other close friend Serena William lose at the US Open, Meghan was shockingly nowhere to be seen at the glitzy event.
Even though Meghan was unable to attend her friend’s pop-up, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson was able to step in as the royal attendee.
Last week, Meghan Markle announced her maternity leave will be officially over on September 12, when she steps out with her fashion designer friend for the launch of their women’s workwear collection.
The collaboration will benefit charity Smart Works, an organisation that seeks to help women find employment by providing interview training and professional attire for job interviews.
