The daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson may be royalty, but Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have had to battle their fair share of serious and scary health issues.

According to HELLO! Her Majesty’s granddaughter Princess Beatrice is severely dyslexic and had to receive specialist help from the Helen Arkell Centre throughout the school.
The royal went on to become the charity’s patron in 2013.
Beatrice has said the help she received at the centre is the reason she was able to succeed in school: “I would not have been able to achieve my academic results without the support I received from the Centre.”
According to HELLO! despite her dyslexia, Beatrice passed eight GCSEs, three A levels and graduated with a 2:1 in History and the History of Ideas from Goldsmiths College, London.
Speaking in a podcast for charity to mark Dyslexia Week, Beatrice recalled: “I remember one of my earliest memories was sitting in front of a Beatrix Potter book and the illustrations were so beautiful but the words meant nothing. “
Princess Eugenie made the brave decision to show off her scar as a result of surgery for her scoliosis, that had many royal fans applauding her bravery.
Speaking to The Telegraph, the royal described the moment in her dress fitting where they decided to make her scar the centrepiece.
“After one or two initial meetings where I said I wanted to show my back and scar, we had a fitting and in their first attempt at the shape and design of the dress, they got me and the vision in one.”
“From there, we realised that the back of the dress was the centre point and a veil would take away from the scar and the beautiful design they had created.”
Eugenie had the life-changing surgery on her back when she was 12 years old and is now a patron if the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
