Whilst 3-year-old Charlotte could lose the title of ‘Princess’ she will not lose her status, rather the young royal will actually gain additional titles.
According to The Sun, if the Queen’s eldest daughter, Princess Anne, passes away it is Charlotte who could be given the title of Princess Royal.
According to the publication, ‘Princess Royal’ can only be held by one person, which is currently Princess Anne.
Another possibility for Charlotte, whose older brother George, 5, is the heir to the throne, is a Dukedom.
This title could be given to Charlotte if she chooses to marry. This was what happened when her father, Prince William married her mother Kate Middleton, who was then given the additional title of Duke of Cambridge.
Whatever happens, Charlotte will always be a princess in our eyes!
