Princess Beatrice will inherit another title when she marries Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi – something that her sister Princess Eugenie missed out on when she married Jack Brooksbank

Beatrice and Edo are set to wed on May 29, at St James’s Palace in London.

A private wedding reception will follow, hosted by Beatrice’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

And because Edo himself descends from aristocracy too, the Princess will inherit another title on their wedding day.

Edoardo’s father is Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, and as his oldest son, Edoardo will inherit the family’s ancestral seat, the 18th century Villa Mapelli Mozzi palace in northern Italy.

Following their wedding, Beatrice will be an Italian “Contessa” and “Nobile Donna” or noble woman.

Princess Eugenie missed out on such a title as her “commoner” husband Jack Brooksbank does not hold a title.

“Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation,” the groom-to-be’s father told The Daily Mail.

“He is a count — his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.”

Alessandro added that Edoardo, 36, and Beatrice, 31, are “very suited to each other.”

“I’ve never seen him so happy,” the proud dad said.

Harry and Meghan will return to the UK in May for Beatrice’s wedding.

Despite rumours that Bea’s cousin Harry and his wife Meghan would possibly miss her big day, a source has told Us Weekly that the duo will be in attendance for the royal wedding.

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get set to walk away from their royal roles at the end of March, it’s been confirmed that they will be back in the UK for a very special family occasion in May – Princess Beatrice‘s wedding.

However, last week, a royal commentator revealed to New Idea that there’s still a chance that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who recently quit royal life and moved to Canada – could scrap the nuptials, depending on how their final engagements go.

Speaking on New Idea’s Royals podcast, Angela Mollard said: “I think the Commonwealth meeting is very important obviously because that’s the role the Queen gave them as Commonwealth youth ambassadors.

“It will be interesting to see if they come back for [Beatrice’s wedding].

“If they don’t come back for Beatrice’s wedding I think it will be the most tremendous stink.

“It will just be seen as an absolutely massive snub to the royal family and would suggest that they absolutely put their own needs ahead of other royalty.

“Beatrice went to their wedding. They’re first cousins Beatrice and Harry.

“You have to imagine that they would come.”

Co-host Zoe Burrell then said she wouldn’t want to miss a relatives wedding.

Mollard then interrupted: “But they do want to miss out on it. They don’t want to be part of that life.”

Meanwhile another royal commentator by the name of Camilla Tominey appeared on UK breakfast show This Morning and reportedly said Meghan could steal the Bea’s thunder.

“Obviously they have to invite them, but they’re going to be worried,” Camilla reportedly told co-hosts Phillip Schofield, 57, and Holly Willoughby, 39.

“There’s no reason why they wouldn’t go, they are still family… But as the bride, [Bea] might be worried by a bit of upstaging,” she added.
