Prince William goes all Action Man in Kenya

He's on top form!

Last week Prince William began a royal tour of Namibia, Tanzania and Kenya. Over the weekend, The Duke of Cambridge visited the Kenyan town of Kinamba.

The jubilant Prince was seen giving sports equipment to pupils during his visit at the Ol Maiso primary school in Laikipia.

Hours before he was seen arriving by helicopter as he gave a thumbs up to Irish Soldiers during his visit to the 1st Battalion the Irish Guards Battle group, training under the British Army Training Unit, in his role as Colonel of the Regiment in Laikipia.  

“For us today is really about an Irish guards officer visiting the Irish guards in his capacity as colonel of the regiment. He’s always welcome and it’s lovely when he comes to see us,” said Lt. Col Jonathan Palmer, commander of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards.

The second in line for the throne served in the British military for seven years and he joined more than 100 soldiers for the bush drills.

The Duke of Cambridge is visiting Africa in his capacity as president of United for Wildlife, the trip precedes the upcoming the 2018 Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference taking place in London on October 11 and 12.
