The following day after his tragic death a friend told Sarah: “A prince tried to save your prince,” the Mirror reported.

“It shows our future king is human. It was a brave thing to do,” said Sarah who is still grieving the loss of her son.

“I am still in therapy with bereavement and psychiatric counselling but my father-in-law has had to pay for it privately,” she added.

Sarah added that her seven year old son Mason is still suffering. “And I’ve struggled to get the right support for Mason. But I certainly haven’t been let down by Prince William.”

The Prince spoke earlier on in the week about his work around mental health struggles.

“I worked on several traumatic jobs involving children and after I had my own I think the relation between the job and my personal life is what took me over the edge,” he admitted.

“I started feeling things I’ve never felt before and I got very sad and very down about this particular family.”
