Prince William and Kate Middleton broke with royal tradition on their wedding night.
Following their 2011 nuptials, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent their first night together as a married couple in Buckingham Palace.
This is not typical for royals, as most royal newlyweds jet off straight away on their honeymoon.
The Queen, 92, and Prince Phillip, 96, spent their wedding night in Broadlands, Hampshire.
Princess Anne and Mark Phillips set off for their honeymoon cruise on the Royal Yacht Britannia after their balcony appearance.
However, Wills and Kate broke from tradition by not setting off on their honeymoon straight away – in fact, William even went straight back to work.
The pair eventually jetted off to the Seychelles 10 days later.
