The Duke of Sussex has attended a royal engagement in London just hours after he and pregnant wife Meghan Markle announced their plans to keep details surrounding the arrival of their first child private.
Sporting a contagious smile, Prince Harry appeared in high spirits as he met and greeted fans before opening a youth centre, created by the charity OnSide Youth Zones.
The event comes just hours after Kensington Palace released a statement advising of the couple’s decision to break tradition and “celebrate privately” once baby Sussex arrives.
“They Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
Meanwhile, rumours suggesting Meghan, who is due any day now, will have a home birth at Frogmore Cottage, continue to swirl.
“It’s her preferred choice but it obviously depends on how things are nearer to the time,” an insider told the Daily Mail.
