California native Meghan Markle has made it no secret that she would prefer to live in the United States, where the press are far more favorable to her, than in the United Kingdom, and new sources say that the Royal pair are looking at relocating to the former actresses home country amid a torrent of negative press in the British media.
According to the Daily Mail, the Sussex’s are planing on taking a six-week holiday over the Thanksgiving period, and are going to be spending the holidays with Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland in California.
Many are believing that this extra long stint away from Royal duties is to give the couple sufficient time to scout for a potential new homes for them to live in.
A source told The Sun that both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles are worried about the move to America, believing such a drastic change would be seen as Meghan and Harry exiting the Royal family.
The source told the newspaper: “There’s an acceptance that things haven’t worked out with the Sussexes full-time in Windsor so they could have a second base in America.”
In the bombshell ITV documentary that aired last Sunday, both Harry and Meghan revealed they would happily uproot their life and move their son Archie Harrison to Africa.
“I don’t know where we could live in Africa at the moment.
“We’ve just come from Cape Town, that would be an amazing place for us to be able to base ourselves, of course, it would.”
The Duke of Sussex continued: “But with all the problems that are going on there, I just don’t see how we would be able to make as much difference as we want to without the issues and the judgment of how we would be with those surroundings.”
