Prince Frederik of Denmark has been pictured for the first time since he was forced to cancel official engagements after a hospital stay.
Princess Mary’s handsome hubby underwent surgery to his back recently – requiring hospitalisation.
But his health woes certainly didn’t seem to hold him back as he stepped out for a royal engagement on Sep. 25.
Prince Frederik looked dapper in military regalia as he attended a 200th jubilee celebration in Frederikshavn, Denmark.
The Crown Prince arrived by the Royal Ship Dannebrog and was greeted by the towns people as well as Mayor Birgit S. Hansen.
The naval marching band played at his arrival and he helped inspect and hoist a special jubilee flag.
Frederik looked sprightly – if a little paler than normal – and happily waved to the crowds as he opened a new harbour area and held a speech in the honor of the town.
As a special event Crown Prince Frederik visited the Royal Stone at Pikker Hill and engraved his name into it along side his grandfather and great-great grandfather’s, Frederik IX and Frederik VIII.
Princess Mary has been flying solo recently – attending a number of public engagements on her own, given that Frederik spent two weeks recovering.
The Prince has previously been candid about his back issues.
‘I have had a few back problems lately which have stopped me from going running as I would like to,’ he said in a video media following his 50th birthday celebrations.
