Every royal must take a black outfit in their luggage in case a family member dies and they have to enter a period of mourning.
And when it comes to Queen Elizabeth or Prince Charles‘ packing lists, things become even more gruesome.
According to Marie Claire UK , the Queen and her son travel with a pack of their own blood, looked after by a navy doctor who is always close by.
It makes sense, as it means they’ll always have enough blood should something occur which means they need an urgent blood transfusion.
According to The Sun, there are other travel essentials that the Queen takes with her on every journey, including pine-scented soaps, framed family photos, Harrods’ sausages, gin, barley sugar and even a monogrammed kettle.
And HRH also reportedly takes her own toilet roll which only she is allowed to break the seal on. How luxurious!
Queen Elizabeth recently opened the doors of Buckingham Palace to the public, something she does every summer.
The Palace will be open from July 20 until September 29, 2019, and visitors will be able to explore the lavish interiors of the Queen’s official London residence.
