Prince Charles might not live in Buckingham Palace when he’s King

Royal officials have denied reports Prince Charles won’t move into Buckingham Palce when he becomes king.

The Sunday Times reported that Charles and Camilla would prefer to stay at Clarence House and have Buckingham Palace turned into a full-time tourist attraction, however, an official statement was released disputing the allegations.

‘Buckingham Palace will remain the official London residence of the Monarch,’ a statement from his office said on Monday.

Charles and Camilla currently live in Clarence House, just across from Buckingham Palace in London.

The Sunday Times claimed the prince ‘doesn’t see [Buckingham Palace] as a ­viable future home or a house that’s fit for purpose in the modern world. He feels its upkeep, both from a cost and environmental perspective, is not sustainable.’
