Meghan Markle’s transition from American actress to royal wife has been fraught with drama, most of it fuelled by her own family.
‘Meghan is embarrassed that that Markle’s continue to publicly trash-talk her and her husband, Prince Harry,’ a royal insider tells Life & Style.
In the last month alone, half-sister Samantha compared her to Disney villain Cruella de Vil for distancing herself from their ‘loose-lipped’ dad, Thomas Sr., who he himself has vowed he ‘won’t be silenced’ on his ongoing criticism of the royals.
The never-ending barrage of attacks has made Meghan miserable, Life & Style reports.
‘Meghan has been in tears over the Markle’s cashing in on her,’ explains the insider, who says that amid the chaos, she’s turned to another former commoner for advice: sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
‘Kate has been a tower of strength for Meghan as she faces the difficulties that come with being a new royal and deals with her family’s headline-making antics,’ the insider tells the US publication., adding that if anyone knows what Meghan is going through, it’s Kate.
‘She’s showing Meghan the ropes when it comes to adjusting to royal life and all that it entails.’

‘She’s had her own fair share of family scandals,’ says the insider, noting the 2009 incident which saw her uncle Gary Goldsmith’s Ibiza home busted with cocaine.
Kate is advising Meghan ‘keep her head up’, adds the insider.
The Kensington Palace source adds that Meghan and Kate try and see each other at least three times a week, and they enjoy ‘cooking with each other’.
‘They talk over tea about everything from their marriages to what they really think about other members of the royal family.’

The Duchess of Sussex is grateful to have an ally like Kate, Life & Style’s report claims.
‘She never knows what’s around the corner when it comes to her family. The whole situation gives her anxiety,’ says the insider.
‘Luckily, Kate has really stepped up and been there for her.’
The Royal Family is yet to respond to Life & Style’s report.
