On day two of the Royal Tour, Meghan Markle was seen wearing a rather familiar jacket.
In fact, so familiar was it, Meghan’s BFF Serena Williams quickly noticed she was wearing her jacket from the Serena Williams collection!
Delighted, the tennis star took to Instagram to celebrate the occasion. Uploading a picture of herself laughing, Serena captioned the post: ‘The face you make when you and Meghan have matching @serenablazers 😍’
The “Boss” jacket donned by Meghan on Wednesday sets buyers back 145 US dollars (£110) and features a notched collar and patch pockets.
A description on the brand’s website says: “Sometimes you just gotta show ‘em who’s boss. Our oversized blazer… works overtime in that department.”
Serena has known the Duchess for years and it was recently reported that the pair had ‘been relying on each other a lot’ of late.
The sportswoman and clothing designer also made her a “Royal Duchess” hoodie and was one of the first to congratulate the former Suits star on her involvement on the Grenfell Cookbook.
Williams has previously hailed her “wonderful” friendship with Meghan and attended her wedding with Harry in May.
The duchess was also on hand to watch Williams play in the Wimbledon final in July.
Williams said at the time: “We’ve always had a wonderful friendship.
“Every year, for a couple years, she comes out to Wimbledon, has supported me.
“Now she’s supporting me in a different role. But our friendship is still exactly the same.
“We always have supported each other, just been there for each other through a lot.”
On Tuesday, Meghan chose an ivory Karen Gee shift dress and nude heels for her first public appearance since it was announced she and Harry were expecting a baby.
