After the arrival of their first child, Meghan and Harry will follow royal tradition and step out of Lindo Wing and pose for photos on the stairs.

But the Duchess of Sussex has been advised not to take part in what will be a historic moment.

In an open letter to the mum-to-be which has been published, CEO of baby brand Fridababy Chelsea Hirschhorn has pleaded with Meghan to ditch the photo opportunity and instead, ‘keep it real’ for all the mothers out there.

She went on to encourage the Duchess to “flash a glimpse of the mesh underwear underneath” and blame it on the wind.

“I assume that, like your princess predecessors, you’ll be expected to parade outside of the hospital in front of throngs of photographers to show off your new bundle of joy shortly after giving birth,” the CEO wrote.

“You’ll smile, you’ll wave, you’ll be radiant, but between your legs will be a whole different story.”

She continued: “But us mums will know that while you wave from that step you’ll be one pair of mesh underwear away from your first post-baby poop (brace yourself).”
