Meghan Markle slammed over royal gaffe

Although Meghan Markle has been warmly welcomed into the Britsh monarchy, royal etiquette experts are yet to be impressed by the actress.

The Suits actress made a slight blunder on Christmas day at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham after a wobbly attempt at curtsying to the queen.

Grant Harrold, a former butler to the royal family and Britain’s ‘etiquette expert’ explained on Good Morning Britain how the bride-to-be got it wrong.

‘What you should be doing, for a lady, is the right foot behind the left, and then it is a gentle bob,’ he said. ‘You don’t want to go too far down because you might not come back up.’

‘You keep the hands in because you’re not a penguin.’

He added that Duchess Catherine executed the move perfectly with a slight bend of the knee.

Despite the small mishap, Meghan managed to stun royal spectators at her first Christmas with the royal family.

The 36-year-old looked every inch the princess in a camel coat with brown leather gloves, bag and boots to match.
