Although the piece is all about body positivity, it features a very unexpected swear word.
In her introduction, the 37-year-old wrote: “A personal favourite and the best reminder during the summer season…or any season, as a matter of fact.”
The author Matt Haig, was overjoyed that his piece had been included in the fashion bible, writing on Instagram: “Officially in vogue.”
The poem begins: “Hello. I am the beach.
“I am created by waves and currents. I was made of eroded rocks. I exist next to the sea. I have been around for millions of years. I was around at the dawn of life itself.”
It continues: “And I have to tell you something. I don’t care about your body.
“I am a beach. I literally don’t give a f—.”
The Duchess of Sussex is the first person to guest edit the magazine’s September issue in 103 years, and it isn’t a role she took lightly.
As part of her collaboration with editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, Meghan picked out 15 trailblazing women to feature on the cover.
