Meghan Markle REFUSED to wear $5 tights dismissing them as ‘garbage’, insider claims

Rude or reasonable?

While most of the royal family invest significant time and energy in convincing the public they are “just like the rest of us”, Meghan Markle is bucking the trend and setting herself squarely apart from the great and good thanks to her high brow Hollywood standards.

New reports from The Sun‘s royal insider claim the newly minted Duchess of Sussex turned up her nose at a pair of Marks & Spencer tights presented to her ahead of Prince Charles‘ 70th birthday celebration in May 2018, branding the beloved British retailer “garbage” before dispatching staff to buy her a designer pair of stockings.

The high street option, which cost in the region of $5 AUD for a pack of two, weren’t up to scratch for the wife of Prince Harry who demanded a luxury pair from upscale brand Wolford which retail for closer to $65.

The birthday bash marked Meghan’s first royal outing since she married into the Windsor clan and the beginning of months of rumours about her diva behaviour which persist to present day.

Previous reports allege the 37-year-old mother-to-be is growing “increasingly frustrated at being told no about many of her ideas”.

In December People magazine also claimed the former Suits star had been experiencing a “culture clash” and “tension” with other senior royals in the Palace.

Asked for clarification about the M&S versus Wolford debacle, Kensington palace refused to comment.
