WATCH! We know who Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s celebrity godparents for baby Archie are going to be!

According to a very popular royal watchers Instagram account, baby Archie’s christening will take place in the very same church his parents got married in last yearSt George’s Chapel in Windsor.

St George’s Chapel holds special meaning for the couple, as it is also the place where the Duke of Sussex himself was christened back in 1984.

Considering this is the royal family, the affair is going to feature some very special components that one wouldn’t find at your regular ol’ baptism. According to @windsor.royal.family, the tiny royal baby will be baptised with water sourced from the River Jordan and poured from the chapel Lily Font.

Now that’s fancy.

We also now know that Reverend David Conner is likely to conduct the ceremony along with the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, according to The Sunday Times.

Unlike most royal events, the ceremony is likely to be intimate with grandparents Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall leading the royal party.

Archie‘s aunt and uncle, Kate Middleton and Prince William, along with Archie‘s three cousins, Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1, are also expected to attend.

Unfortunately, it has been reported that Her Majesty the Queen will be unable to make it to the royal christening of her great-great-grandchild, due to prior commitments.

According to reports, baby Sussex’s christening gown will also hold special meaning, as it will be a replica of the Honiton lace gown Queen Victoria commissioned for the baptism of her first child.

The original gown has been worn by over 60 heirs to the British throne, including the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, however, the item of clothing is now too fragile to wear, hence the need for a replica.

The Duchess of Sussex is yet to officially announce Archie’s godparents but Sunrise’s royal expert Robert Jobson expects Harry will choose his cousin Zara and her rugby player husband Mike Tindall, while Meghan could nominate her stylist best friend Jessica Mulroney.
