Kensington Palace has labelled Meghan Markle’s trolls “sinister and evil”, as staff are working overtime to delete a torrent of abusive comments aimed at the Duchess and her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, on social media.
According to The Sun, sexist, racist, and even violent, threats against the two women have inundated the comment sections online, with staffers believing the alleged royal rivalry a source of tension between fans.

Some royal fans have split themselves into two camps, with the rival fans pitting the women against each other on a daily basis and hurling array of insults directed at Meghan and Kate.
Some toxic comments have become so widespread online that they have garnered their own hashtag, including #Megxit, a play on the expression ‘Brexit’.
Whilst there are some on the internet that are engaging in the horrendous trolling, many royal bloggers have labelled the behaviour “outrageous”.
The Sun reports that the abuse has become so severe the royal staff are forced to seek help from Instagram to try and combat the problem.
A source told HELLO!: “You can delete and report and block people and the police have options around particular people.
“It’s something you have to manage because there’s no other way to control it.”
