Meghan Markle has copped some criticism after choosing to write inspirational messages to sex workers in Bristol on bananas, but Markle’s attempt at support has now taken social media by storm with Brits writing not so inspirational messages to their friends on the fruit.
Last week Meghan Markle, 37, accompanied by her husband Prince Harry, put together food parcels at charity One25, an organisation that supports sex workers in Bristol.
The Duchess than shared a story about how a dinner lady in a US school would write messages on fruit for her pupils each day, to which she then decided to try out the generous method at One25, now infamously writing messages of support on bananas.

While some people admired Meghan’s messages, dozens on social media have poked-fun at Meghan’s well-meaning gesture, and some of the Instagram posts lightly mocking the Duchess are downright hilarious.
