Meghan Markle had an awkward run-in while celebrating her close friend Misha Nonoo’s wedding in Rome today.
According to Express, Ivanka Trump – daughter of Donald Trump – also attended the nuptials.
Things went sour between the Duchess and the Trump family after the US President called Meghan “nasty” after she referred to him as “divisive” and “misogynistic” in 2016.
Prince Harry has also inherited his wife’s feud and there was rumoured tension between the Duke and Trump during the President’s official state visit to the United Kingdom.
According to PEOPLE magazine, upon entering the private lunch at Buckingham Palace which hosted the first family of America, Harry made a beeline for Lord Chamberlin, Earl Peel, instead of the Queen’s guests.
Trump later told Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain, that he “didn’t talk about” his controversial war of words with Meghan when he met Harry.
Meghan managed to avoid the visit altogether – which came less than a month after she gave birth to her son Archie.
However, Piers accused the Duchess of “deliberately” snubbing Trump.

In the case of Misha’s wedding – which saw her marrying Michael Hess – it appears the run-in was unavoidable.
A source told Page Six: “There is no way that Meghan wouldn’t be at Misha’s wedding – no way at all.”
Meghan and Nonoo have been close friends for some time, with the designer recently working with the Duchess on a capsule collection that benefits Smart Works – a charity that helps unemployed women find professional clothing for job interviews.
The Duchess wasn’t Misha’s only A-list guest – the event was packed with celebrities and other members of the royal family.
Page Six reported that supermodel Karlie Kloss was in attendance, alongside her husband Joshua Kushner (a close friend of groom Mikey) as well as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie of York.
The daughters of Prince Andrew are close friends of Misha’s, with Eugenie recently visiting Misha’s pop-up store in New York City.
In addition, singer Katy Perry and her fiance Orlando Bloom attended the nuptials as well as pop star Ellie Goulding and her husband Caspar Jopling.
According to Hola!, the wedding reception was held at Cinecittà (the legendary film studio where icons such as Rossellini, Fellini, De Sica and Visconti filmed).
This is Misha’s second Italian wedding (her first wedding was in Venice to Alexander Gilkes in 2012).
In other news, sources told People that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew to Italy via a commercial airline to attend the nuptials.
The weekend is just three days short of their trip to South Africa for a royal tour with their son Archie.
