So when Buckingham Palace’s official social media accounts posted photos of a baby, fans went into meltdown believing we were catching the first glimpse of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bub.

Alas, we were mistaken.

WATCH! The moment Baby Sussex kicks for the first time!

The images were actually of Sophie, Countess of Wessex, visiting newborns.

The visit is part of a program that is supported by the Queen’s Diamon Jubilee Trust and it helps raise awareness for blindness in premature babies in India.

The guilty photo is of the Countess of Wessex in a hospital looking down upon a newborn baby, but fans only had to read the caption to figure out that this was not the spawn of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The caption read: “The Countess of Wessex has visited hospitals across Hyderabad today to see how The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, of which she is Vice-Patron, has made a significant impact on programmes to end avoidable blindness in babies, specifically Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).”
