Meghan Markle took a break from maternity leave to celebrate the Queen‘s official birthday at Trooping the Colour last weekend for the first time since introducing her and Prince Harry‘s newborn royal baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor to the world at Windsor Castle in May.
The Duchess of Sussex looked radiant in a navy ensemble by Givenchy designer Clare Waight Keller as she arrived at Buckingham Palace in a carriage with the Duke of Sussex, the Duchess of Cambridge and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, but all eyes were on Meghan’s hands.
The Duchess shed her gloves to reveal a sparkling new ring which she wore in addition to her engagement ring and wedding band.

The new piece of jewelry- a silver pavé-set diamond ring, according to Vogue.com.au – is thought to be an eternity ring which symbolises commitment and eternal love.
People Magazine confirmed the new eternity band was a present from her husband Prince Harry, though it is not clear whether it was intended as a first wedding anniversary gift or a “push present” for their first child Archie.
The Duke chose a diamond from Botswana for American-born Meghan’s engagement ring, flanked by two smaller diamonds from his late mother Princess Diana’s jewellery collection.
The Duchess’ wedding ring is made of Welsh gold and was gifted to her by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Sussexes were joined by senior members of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace in central London to ring in the Queen’s 93rd year.
Prince William and Kate Middleton took their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte to the annual event, while one-year-old Prince Louis made a lasting impression with his adorable wave and thumb sucking during his balcony debut.
But with all eyes on little Louis, fans were disappointed by Their Royal Highnesses H and M’s appearance at Buckingham Palace.
The Duke and Duchess stood in the rear corner of the balcony for the Red Arrow flypast, a stark contrast to last year’s celebrations when the newlyweds were seen front and centre smiling to the crowds.
With questions swirling about whether the Sussexes are being sidelined by senior royals, the truth could be more simple than that with royal experts pointing out there is a pecking order at official royal gatherings.
