Kensington Palace has today released more details on the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, revealing the couple’s schedule for the entire day.
The statement, released this morning, starts by revealing that Prince Harry and Meghan are ‘hugely grateful’ for the many well wishes they had received since announcing their engagement.
According to Kensington Palace, the couple are ‘very much looking forward’ to their big day, and have made the following decisions about their big day on Saturday, 19 May.
- The Wedding Service will be held at St George’s Chapel at midday. The Dean of Windsor, The Rt Revd. David Conner, will conduct the Service. The Most Revd. and Rt Hon. Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, will officiate as the couple make their marriage vows.
- The newly married couple will undertake in a Carriage Procession at 1pm. The route will start at St George’s Chapel, leaving Windsor Castle via Castle Hill and processing along High Street and through Windsor Town, returning to Windsor Castle along the Long Walk.
- St George’s Hall will host the couple’s reception.
- Later in the evening, the Prince of Wales will give a private evening reception for the couple and their close friends and family.
The soon-to-be newlyweds will be releasing more information in the coming weeks.
