There’s no shortage of reports claiming that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have never got on, but now a source has revealed that tensions will come to a head when the ladies cross paths again.
“The Queen is panicking that the duchesses are ticking time bombs. After everything that’s happened, it’s almost inevitable that there will be an explosive final showdown between the women when they finally come face-to-face in London,” an insider told U.S. magazine, In Touch.

The Duchess of Sussex along with her husband Prince Harry are due to return to the UK for the final round of engagements and according to the report, the queen desperately wants to put on a united front but when Meghan didn’t confirm her attendance until the 11th hour, it pushed some buttons.
“Kate is already offended by the way Meghan constantly breaks royal protocol, and she’s taking the insult to the queen very personally,” the source adds.
In fact, tensions have risen to such a level that it’s at breaking point.
“Kate wants to scream at Meghan and tell her what everyone thinks and that she’s a gold-digging liar and is only after money and fame!”
And according to the insider, for Meghan seeing the royals again and being surrounded by Harry’s family is her idea of hell and if pushed may say something hurtful.
“She doesn’t have much to lose by laying her cards down on the table. She could do the unthinkable and bring up William’s reported cheating scandal with Kate’s friend Rose Hanbury,” the source adds.
The publication claims that Meghan is still seething from not getting everything she wanted from the “Megxit deal”.
“She’s been complaining that she can’t use the word royal and wants the queen to know that despite their efforts to control her and Harry, she will never give up her title.”
Meanwhile, another report claims the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to avoid a major event being held by Harry and Meghan in 2020.
A royal insider told The Sun the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are likely to keep their distance from the Sussexes, who will be hosting the Invictus Games in the Netherlands in May.
“William had not been expected to attend even before the news broke about Harry and Meghan’s decision to step away from public life,” the source said.
“It is highly unlikely that he [William] and Kate will be a part of the event in any way. But it isn’t a snub. The entire Royal Family remain hugely supportive and very proud of Harry’s work on Invictus and think it is a wonderful event,” the source said.
“It’s very much in Harry’s vision although he has regularly turned to his father for advice and support over the years. It is unlikely to be any different this time round but Harry will be front and centre.”
