The mother-of-three was all smiles as she looked upon little Prince Louis waving at the crowd, but aside from the young Prince stealing the show it was Kate’s interesting choice of jewellery that really caught people’s attention.

While standing beside the royal family on the balcony at Buckingham Palacethe Duchess of Cambridge wore a crucifix. The cross is the same pendant that Kate has worn on a number of occasions – including the 2011 Order of the Garter ceremony – according to royal fashion expert Susan E. Kelley.

The stunning piece features a new diamond ‘bail’ and sat delicately on Kate’s décolletage area.

Founder and owner of jewellery brand Arabel Lebrusan said of the interesting addition, “This is a very simple way to transform an old piece to make it more contemporary.”

Trooping the Colour was attended by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, and William and Kate flanked by their three children, Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis 1.

Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle were also in attendance, however, little baby Archie Sussex was kept away from the crowds.
