Kate Middleton sent a rather awkward email to her friends two years before Prince William proposed to her.
According to the Sunday Express, the Duchess of Sussex asked her friends to start calling her Catherine instead of Kate.

Royal expert Adam Helliker claims this was one major sign that the now mother-of-three was “preparing for her future role”.
“I hear that in the past few weeks the former accessories buyer has quietly informed friends that she would like to drop the informal ‘Kate’ and in future wishes to be known by her full name: Catherine.”
Meanwhile another royal expert Daniela Elsner claims Kate informed friends with a light-hearted email.
“Everyone knows it’s about to happen with Kate and William, but we were a little surprised about the request to call her Catherine,” a friend told the expert. “There is a distinct feeling she has started to become very aware of her position.”
Prince Charles’ press secretary has denied the reports.
In other news rumours of plastic surgery have been following Kate for some time, and now the palace has finally addressed the claims.
A British plastic surgeon called out the Duchess of Cambridge for using Botox yesterday, posting before and after photos of Kate on Instagram.
However, a spokesperson for Kensington Palace has denied the claims made in the post.
In a statement to The New York Post, the representative said the post was “categorically not true” and that “the Royal Family never endorse commercial activity.”
