The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex have been plagued by rumours of a rift following a spat during Prince Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding in 2018.

The most recent report claims that Prince William and Kate have delayed their trip to the Queen’s Balmoral home so their visit doesn’t coincide with the Sussex’s.
Royal expert Angela Mollard told New Idea’s Royals podcast that it is mother-of-three Kate who is putting in the effort with Meghan.
“It’s interesting isn’t it, everyone’s jumped on this saying, is it a PR exercise or is it a genuine friendship?” said Angela, speaking of Kate and Meghan’s Wimbledon appearance with Pippa Middleton.
Angela continued: “This is Kate being a decent person”
“She is a good, well-brought-up, kind, ultimately very friendly person”
“I think what she’s done, is gone, ‘We went to the tennis together last year together, let’s go again, let’s make it an annual event’.
“She popped Meghan between herself and her sister Pippa, when it could have been so easy for the sisters to sit together and put Meghan on the end.”
