When Meghan Markle joined Kate Middleton at Wimbledon, the question on everybody’s lips was whether this signalled the end of the feud rumours.

While the two Duchesses put on a more than friendly display, royal expert Angela Mollard has claimed that the outing was a “masterful” PR exercise, planned out by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Taking to the royal box on Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex joined her sister-in-law to cheer on Serena Williams and Simona Halep at the Grand Slam single women’s final.

The two royal ladies made sure to keep up appearances, as multiple shots saw the women smiling and laughing together as they cheered on Meghan’s close friend and tennis great, Serena.

Speaking on The Morning Show, royal expert Angela Mollard has claimed that Kate orchestrated the entire spectacle so as to put to rest the persistent feud rumours.

“Masterful PR exercise, wasn’t it?,” began Ms Mollard, “This has a lot of Kate written all over, she’s sort of seen to take the lead.

“They were both there, they were both enjoying the tennis and they obviously had Kate Middleton’s sister, Pippa, there. Meghan was sandwiched between them, there’s a lot of shots of them chatting, laughing.”

Ms Mollard continued: “Kate’s a kind person, she well brought-up, she’s doing the right thing. If there is any rift, we don’t really know.”

Tensions between the two women first made the rounds when it was revealed that Meghan Markle made Kate Middleton leave a dress fitting in floods tears, prior to her royal wedding to Prince Harry in May, last year.

The unfortunate event was later confirmed by Buckingham Palace.

Since then, royal commentators have suggested the real source of tension within the royal family is actually between Prince William and Prince Harry, however, nothing is yet to be confirmed.
